DESCRIPTION:Veterans and Military Appreciation Buffet Dinner and Program\nWednesday\, November 11 at 4:30 pm\nLandis Hall at The Junction Center\, Manheim\nLive Music.   Keynote Speaker Tom Joyce   Catered Buffet Meal \nWe welcome Veterans\, active-duty military members and the community to join us for an evening of gratitude and celebration as we honor those who have served and continue to serve our country. Together\, we’ll celebrate America’s 250th Birthday and the freedom made possible by those who have answered the call to serve. \nTom Joyce\, the evening’s keynote speaker is a retired Navy Captain\, graduated from the United States Naval Academy\, was selected to fly as R10 in the F-14A Tomcat\, graduated from the Navy Fighter School and was selected to fly in some of the scenes in the move\, “TOPGUN.” He reported to fighter Squadron One-Eleven as Commanding Officer onboard the aircraft carrier USS Kitty Hawk. Under Tom’s leadership\, Fighter Squadron One-Eleven was recognized as the bestFighter Squadron in the Pacific Fleet. He survived the Sept. 11 terrorist attack on the Pentagon\, which included his office and retired August 2003 after serving on active duty for more than 25 years. \nVeterans are encouraged to come in uniform.
