DESCRIPTION:Encore Theatre Academy— Presents A New Acting Workshop This Winter\nSaturdays\, January-February 2026\nLandis Hall at The Junction Center\, Manheim\nJoin Encore Theatre Academy Saturday mornings in January and February at Landis Hall at The Junction Center for a seven-week student theatre session\, jumping on stage and into the art of Improv!\nAbout The Winter Student Theatre Workshop \nGet ready to laugh\, create\, and collaborate! This seven-week session dives into the art of improv—learning what it is\, how it strengthens acting\, and how to think on your feet. Students will build confidence through fun\, age-appropriate games and exercises designed to stretch their creativity and enhance teamwork skills.\nYou may recognize Encore! Homeschool Productions from their Apollo Award–winning performances at Landis Hall at The Junction Center\, including Don Zolidis’ Deadline and Roald Dahl’s Willy Wonka. Encore Theatre Academy is an exciting new extension of Encore! Home School Productions. They provide a safe\, encouraging\, and joy-filled environment where every student feels comfortable to share ideas\, take risks\, and yes—look a little silly! Equipping student actors with skills for the stage and for life.\nAll are welcome! Students do not need to be a part of homeschooling to register.\nThe Winter Workshop is your all-access pass to every Saturday class in the winter session—one registration\, the full experience! Each class builds momentum\, helping performers grow their imagination\, boost stage confidence\, practice think-on-your-feet courage\, and leave the Winter Workshop Session 2026 improv-ready at the drop-of-a-hat!\nWith Encore Theatre Academy’s professional and caring instructors\, students get the consistency they need to strengthen their personal improv toolkit week after week. Unlike a drop-in class\, this acting workshop is an immersive\, relationship-building winter program that inspires growth\, collaboration\, and confidence in theatre.\nWhile this is a skills-based class (not a full production)\, families are invited to join for a special “Share Time” showcase on February 21\, where students can demonstrate what they’ve learned.\nSaturday Workshop Sessions\nEncore is thrilled to launch its very first Winter Workshop Session 2026\, featuring two engaging classes for grades 4-6 and 7-12.\nStudent Sessions are each Saturday in January and February\, excluding the last Saturday of each month.\nSessions are split by grade level.\nSession Dates Include:\nSaturdays — January 3\, 10\, 17\, 24 (no class Jan. 31) and February 7\, 14\, 21\n\n\nFirst Session (Grades 4–6): 9:00—10:30 a.m.\n\n\nSecond Session (Grades 7–12): 10:30 a.m.—12:00 p.m.\n\n\nWhether you’re brand-new to theatre or already love the stage\, this program is for you—no experience necessary\, just a big imagination!\nAbout The Student Theatre Instructors\nAll Encore instructors maintain current clearances\, and each class is taught by two experienced teachers for an engaging and supportive learning experience.\nJill Panyard – Area director and acting teacher for Encore and Hershey Area Playhouse. Jill is passionate about helping young actors create rich\, believable characters. Her students have earned numerous Hershey Theatre Apollo Award nominations and wins.\nDebra Macut – Holds a BA in Drama and Psychology and an MFA in Acting from Catholic University of America.
