Box Office Manager
The Box Office Manager will oversee all ticket sales for The Junction Center while working closely with the Event and Facilities Director to plan, prepare, and execute concerts, banquets, and private events.
Box Office Manager’s work will be highly visible to the public so attention to detail and brand consistency is critical.
Duties and Responsibilities
Build events in iTickets
Develop an understanding of iTickets software, ticket scaling, terminology, and fee structures, including graphic creation
Work with clients to set up and maintain ticketed events
Communicate with clients in clear and timely manner to help establish and maintain ticketing aspect of their event
Create a friendly and efficient ticketing environment for The Junction Center’s patrons, staff, and artist management.
Field patrons’ questions, complaints, comments, and feedback
Manage daily ticket sales via phone and in person
Built ticket audits for artist agencies, as requested
Handle day of show seating issues in coordination with Event Director, ushers, and event service staff
Perform opening and/or closing duties of the box office
Supervise and schedule Box Office and Event volunteers
Monitor cash drawers for box office and concessions and ensures the accuracy of results
Assists Event Director with maintaining an active social media
Will assist in providing content to social media pages, communicating with followers and answering questions
Implementing an established adverting plan per event
Highly effective oral and written communication skills
Ability to give direction in a clear and consistent manner
Skilled in managing multiple tasks simultaneously while meeting deadlines in a fast-paced environment, without loss of attention to detail
Must be able to effectively relay information to all levels of management
Critical thinker with strong analytical and problem-solving skills
Highly motivated individual who can work independently
Ability to address and resolve customer complaints in real time
Able to work 12+ hour shifts
Some overnight travel required
Experience in event coordinating very beneficial
